1. Consider the level of exhaust pressure and the size of exhaust volume

According to the national standard general purpose aerodynamic compressor exhaust pressure is 0.7MPa (7 atmospheres), the old standard is 0.8MPa (i.e. 8 atmospheres)。Because pneumatic tools and wind machinery are designed to work at a pressure of 0.4Mpa, so the working pressure of the air compressor can fully meet the requirements。If the user's compressor is greater than 0.8MPa is generally special production, and forced pressurization can not be adopted to avoid accidents。
The size of the exhaust volume is also one of the main parameters of the air compressor, and the selection of the air volume of the compressor should match the exhaust volume required by itself, and leave a 10% margin。If the air consumption is large and the air compressor displacement is small, the air compressor exhaust pressure will be greatly reduced when the air tool is started, and the air compressor exhaust pressure can not be driven。Of course, the blind pursuit of large displacement is also wrong, because the larger the displacement of the compressor with the larger the motor, not only the price is high, but also a waste of purchase funds, the use of electricity will also waste energy。
In addition, when selecting the exhaust volume, it is also necessary to consider the peak consumption and the usual consumption and the trough consumption。The usual way is to obtain a larger displacement of smaller air compressors in parallel, with the increase of gas consumption, and turn on one by one, which is not only good for the grid, but also can save energy (with several open several), and there is a backup machine, not due to the failure of a machine caused by the whole line to stop production。
2, consider the occasion and conditions of gas use
The occasion and environment of gas use is also an important factor in choosing the type of compressor, for example, if the gas site is small, it should be selected vertically。Such as ship, car;If the use of gas to make long-distance changes (more than 500 meters), should consider mobile;If the use of the occasion can not be powered, you should choose diesel driven type;
If there is no running water, you must choose air-cooled。In the two cooling methods of air cooling and water cooling, users often have the illusion that water cooling is better and that it is fully cooled, but it is not。In small compressors, both at home and abroad, air-cooled type accounts for more than 90%。
In design, air cooling is simple, and no water source is needed when using。Water-cooled type has its fatal shortcomings, first of all must have a complete water supply system, large investment;Second, the water-cooled cooler life is short;Third, it is easy to freeze the cylinder in the northern winter;Fourth, a lot of water is wasted in normal operation。
3, consider the quality of compressed air

The compressed air produced by the general air compressor contains a certain amount of lubricating oil, and a certain amount of water, some occasions are forbidden oil and water, then not only to pay attention to the compressor selection, if necessary to increase the auxiliary device。There are two solutions:


(1) Choose non-lubricated compressor。The compressor cylinder is basically oil-free, and its piston ring and packing are generally polytetrafluoroethylene。This machine also has its disadvantages, the first is poor lubrication, high failure rate;In addition, polytetrafluoroethylene is also a harmful substance, such as food, pharmaceutical industry can not be used, and non-lubricated compressor can only be oil-free gas transmission, can not be water-free。
(2) Therefore, the usual practice is to add a primary or secondary purification device or dryer to the air compressor (no matter what kind)。This device can make the compressor air neither oil nor water, so that the oil water content in the compressed air is below 5ppm to meet the process requirements。
4. Consider the safety of operation
Air compressor is a machine with pressure work, working with temperature rise and pressure, the safety of its operation should be put in the first place。In addition to the safety valve, the air compressor is also designed with a pressure regulator, the implementation of overpressure unloading double insurance, only the safety valve without the pressure regulator is unreasonable, not only will affect the safety coefficient of the machine, but also reduce the economy of operation (the general function of the pressure regulator is to close the suction valve, so that the machine runs empty)。

3. Causes of energy waste
High no-load energy consumption
At present, most enterprise compressors are single N cubic, and the compressor starts and stops only N or multiple of N, and the air compressor equipment starts and stops relying on the tradition of manual management。Especially when the gas load changes frequently, the system cannot react quickly, nor can it achieve the fine tuning of the compressor displacement, which forms the no-load of the compressor in the air compressor station。

Under normal circumstances, when the pressure reaches y kg, the air compressor enters the unloading operation state, when the pressure is reduced to x kg, the compressor enters the no-load state, that is, the intake valve is closed so that the motor is in an idling state, and the excess compressed air in the oil pre-separation tank is discharged through the vent valve。Closing the intake valve to make the motor idle although the air compressor does not need to compress the gas for work, the air compressor still needs to drive the screw or piston to do rotary movement in idle, and the power consumption continues to occur。The actual test found that the energy consumption of the air compressor under no-load is as high as 40% ~ 55% of its full load operation。

High climbing energy consumption

Screw compressor has two operating modes, adding, unloading operation mode or no-load, full load operation mode。The loading and unloading control mode makes the pressure of the compressed gas move back and forth between x kg and y kg。x kg is the lowest working pressure value, that is, the lowest pressure (loading pressure) that can ensure the normal operation of the user.。Under normal circumstances, the relationship between x kg and y kg can be expressed by the formula: y kg =x kg +(1+δ), δ is a percentage, its value is roughly between 10% and 25%。The pressure difference is generally more than one kilogram。Through theoretical calculation and practical testing, it is learned that for every 1kg increase in air compressor pressure, energy consumption increases by 5-6%。
It can be seen that in the air compressor under the loading and unloading gas supply control mode, its working pressure is from x to y, and there is an energy consumption of pressure climbing, and there is actually energy waste。At the same time, before the gas above x kg enters the gas terminal, its pressure needs to be reduced by the pressure reducing valve to close to x kg, the higher the pressure, the faster the flow rate, which results in the same working condition, the higher the pressure, the greater the gas consumption。The process is also a waste of energy。
Traditional management
